I was thinking of two plays. Burn This is a very bleak play that takes place in NYC and most recently was done (20 yrs ago I think) with Edward Norton. So its very stark, and it reminded me of this.
The other is Fool for Love, which I saw with Sam Rockwell. It takes place out West in a dingy hotel room, very western noir-Cormac McCarthy type stuff. Had that kind of vibe, just a creep factor or two higher.
*Shudder.*
(Nice piece! I'm all in and very engaged. Feels like something out of the play Burn This, but more macabre.)
Thank you so so so much!! I’ve never heard of Burn This, what is that?
